6-7 June 2024
The first in-presence project coordination meeting to place on 6-7 June 2024 in Hannover, in the venues of the project coordinator Ada-und-Theodor-Lessing-Volkshoschschule Hannover. The meeting took two days and included the following activities:
The international team discussed various options for integrating DigComp into everyday working procedures in their adult education organisations.
- Better getting to know each other; as this consortium includes a good mix of partners some of which had not yet cooperated.
- Developing a common understanding of the purpose of the project. This of course had been clarified also in earlier online meetings, but given the complexity of the topic, it was good to have the time to discuss things face to face and with more time.
- Shaping the work plan for Work Package 2, a collection of good practice on the use of DigComp for improving the work of adult education organisations. This work had actually begun already (in October 2023), but still discussing the topic in presence was extremely helpful. Partners presented their findings they had made so far, and we used an interview-technique plus business-plan model charts for keeping notes of the adults. One result of this activity was that we understood that the very understanding of how DigComp can and should be used for improving everyday practice of adult education providers differs greatly.
- Some preprational thoughts were spent on Work Package 3, the development of country-specific workshops for staff trainings on DigComp. These were to be published later for the use of everybody interested, especially other educational organisations.
- The meeting of course included a tour through the venues of VHS Hannover, which are situated in the city centre, next to the Leine river, and are an important asset for VHS Hannover, as it is one of the best places in town for spending leisure time.
