A thought that crossed our minds recently when discussing with colleagues the approach VHS Hannover has chosen to communicate DigComp levels in (ideally: all) course descriptions: Wouldn't it be necessary to not only communicate the DigComps levels of courses in their description but also to indicate when a course does not rely on (or refer to) any digital skills?
Background: As discussed earlier here (in several articles) there are concerns that certain users of adult education (citizens enroling to adult education courses) may rather be repelled by notions such as "smartphone", "digital", etc. in course descriptions. Some people may simply not want to be bothered by these things at all. They want to book their painting course or cooking class, and they may find notes regarding possible improvement of digital skills in these classes annoying.
Hence the idea came up: Could it be useful to mark certain courses with "no digital skills needed", or even "digital-free course offer"? Could this be an attractive selling point?
