TPM in Sweden: an occasion to compare experiences and learn from each other

The project meeting in Sweden in June 2025 was a unique opportunity to compare and discuss our experiences in the implementation of DigComp with other partners. In the beautiful frame of Uppsala, we gathered our doubts and questions to find common solutions. Each of us had the opportunity to present the main issues that could become obstacles in our journey towards a more DigComp-friendly organization, and we were surprised to find out that most of them are common problems all over the countries of the partnership.
Latest Advances of DigCompAE: Building Tools for Digital Skills Assessment

In June 2025, CEFAL (as a member of the Open Consortium) launched the activities set out in WP 4 of the European Digcomp AE project. CEFAL involved over twenty employees from its various offices (Parma, Piacenza, Faenza, Lugo).
Our first workshop!

In early May 2025, over 50 VET trainers from across Italy—representing the regions of Emilia Romagna, Veneto, and Friuli Venezia Giulia—came together online to kick off a training journey into the DigComp 2.2 framework. These first two sessions, held on May 6th and 8th, served as an engaging introduction to the structure, language, and core concepts of the framework.
First steps toward implementing DigComp: SCF’s Pilot Workshop

At SCF, integrating the DigComp 2.2 framework into our organizational practices is a long-term goal. The two workshops organized in May 2025 marked our first structured attempt to do so. Designed within the context of the Erasmus+ DigCompAE project and aligned with the objectives of the National GOL Plan, this workshop represented more than just a training session: it was a starting point for rethinking how we, as an organization, approach digital competence in adult education.

During April 2025, the AECA association of training institutions, of which CEFAL is a member, launched the training activities listed in the catalog under the name DIGCOMP 2.2 COMPUTER LITERACY.
SCF’s Guide to Building Your Own Digital Competence Assessment Tool

After identifying the need for flexible and context-specific assessment tools, Scuola Centrale Formazione developed a simple and adaptable method to help trainers create their own tools based on the DigComp 2.2 framework. This approach is especially powerful in settings like the GOL Plan or courses for unemployed adults, migrants, or people with disabilities - contexts where a one-size-fits-all tool often falls short.
Digital Skills for Work: Training 12000 Citizens Across Emilia-Romagna Region

In February 2025, the training institution CEFAL (associated with the OPEN Consortium) launched a project called Digital Skills for Work in the Emilia Romagna Region. The project is part of the GOL (Workers' Employment Guarantee) Program, funded by European funds (Next Generation EU), which aims to facilitate the reintegration of a large number of people into the labor market.
How to use DigComp 2.2 to create personalized assessment tools (Part 1)

Since the first edition of the DigComp framework was published in 2013, many assessment tools have been developed to evaluate digital competences. The more used ones in Italy are SELFIE for teachers - developed by the EU commission - and MyDigiSkills - developed by All Digital in collaboration with many European institutions, including Repubblica Digitale (i.e., the Italian government department of digital transformation).

Setting our target: The National GOL program in Italy

The GOL Program (Garanzia di Occupabilità dei Lavoratori, or “Guarantee of Employability for Workers”) is a key component of Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The objective is to help people, especially those in vulnerable situations, re-enter the labour market through personalized support and targeted training. This includes unemployed adults, people receiving income support, working poor, NEETs, women returning to work, individuals with disabilities, and migrants. The program is designed to connect social services, training providers, and employment centres in a more coordinated and inclusive system.
Bringing Digital Skills Training to Emilia-Romagna Prisons
July 2024
During July 2024, the CEFAL Training Institute (associated with the OPEN Consortium), in partnership with two other training institutes in Emilia Romagna, launched the PRODIGI project at the Parma prison. The project is funded by the Digital Republic Fund and is aimed at 100 prisoners in the Emilia Romagna region.
