July 2025
The project meeting in Sweden in June 2025 was a unique opportunity to compare and discuss our experiences in the implementation of DigComp with other partners. In the beautiful frame of Uppsala, we gathered our doubts and questions to find common solutions. Each of us had the opportunity to present the main issues that could become obstacles in our journey towards a more DigComp-friendly organization, and we were surprised to find out that most of them are common problems all over the countries of the partnership.
For SCF, the implementation of DigComp 2.2 has been both challenging and enriching. We started with an internal review of our current practices and digital competencies. This process revealed important gaps, but also unexpected strengths.
One of the main challenges was translating the framework’s abstract language into practical actions for trainers and staff. To address this, we developed simple guidelines and real-life scenarios to make the competencies more accessible. We also organized training sessions to raise awareness and engage all staff in the process.
The Uppsala meeting confirmed that we are on the right path. It helped us realize that change takes time, but that with collaboration, shared tools, and open dialogue, DigComp can truly become a driver of transformation for adult education.
